Sparty Woodpecker® ​​made the first test drive.

The caravan model Sparty Woodpecker ® ​​prototype, which we started working on in January 2019, has been successfully completed as of August 2020. During the project phase, the 680 kg base weight we committed on both our website and social media was completed as 675 kg with a deviation of 0.007%.

In addition, the furnishing and furniture layout we made to load a maximum of 50 kg load on the drawbar, which is another condition required for road holding and safe driving, has been successfully completed, and it was determined in the scale measurement that the total weight loaded on the drawbar is 50 kg.

As stated in the Highway Traffic Regulation, “During the fixed or mobile weight control on highways, a weighing tolerance of at most 5% of the maximum loaded weight of the vehicle is recognized.” The test drive was started with 790 kg weighing receipt in terms of loaded weight.

Sparty Woodpecker ® ​​was tested with the water tank emptied, and the water tank was filled in the accommodation areas. Since the clean and gray water tanks we use are the breakwater water tanks, the total weight loaded on the caravan does not exceed 790 kg in the measurement of the scale, and it can be traveled with a full water tank.

Sparty Woodpecker ® ​​carried out approximately 3000 km test drives in the Aegean Mediterranean and Marmara regions for 15 days in September. A 1600 cc JTD turbo diesel 105 HP 2014 model Alfa Romeo Giulietta was used in the Test Drive.

Since the tests we have carried out are carried out in an area open to traffic, maximum care has been taken to comply with the speed limits specified in the Highway Traffic Regulation . Our vehicle, which has a fuel consumption of 7 Lt / 100 km in the city and 5.5 Lt / 100 km outside the city, consumed an average of 9 Lt / 100 km in urban and extra-urban mixed fuel during the test drive.

While driving on highways operated by state and private enterprises, we have driven at a speed of 120 km / h by complying with the speed limits specified in the relevant laws and regulations. Although the ground clearance of our model is 2.4 m, it does not encounter any wind resistance that will affect the driving comfort, which proves the accuracy of the outer body design we have made.

The caravan we have produced is not a caravan produced in a hurry to turn the crisis into an opportunity during the pandemic process we are in. With the excitement we feel while producing a new brand and a new product, and with the effort to produce flawlessly, some changes and revisions were made in the production phase, and with the effect of the pandemic process we are in, the promotional calendar we had planned had to be extended.

Sparty Woodpecker ® ​​is a registered Turkish brand that succeeded in landing its prototype on the highway in a short period of 3 months after a year of research and development and successfully completed the driving tests.

Speed ​​limits on vehicles with trailers in Turkey

The maximum speed limit for vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers (excluding LTT fitted with trailers) is 10 km per hour from the maximum speed limit for vehicles without trailer of the same type. is lower.
